Windows is one of the best operating systems i agree.

Linux is okay yes. I love all open source operating systems, especially Solaris.

But as a computer programmer, networking tech, and computer repair specialist, i have to say Mac’s are the worst operating systems i have ever seen in my life. The copy UNIX completely and use GNU and Linux in their software. Apple make the iPhone which is shit compared to the Android.

Windows Vista SP2 is just as good as Seven without ‘speshul’ features. the only reason anybody would hate microsoft is because they are too slow to put NEW stuff out. But when Windows 8 (Windows Azure) comes out as the first Cloud operating system, i’ma buy it.

Yeah, okay buddy. Linux has it’s place in the SERVER market. Mac OS X has it’s place in some consumer markets, and some business markets. Windows, well, it also has it’s place in some consumer and business markets. Want to be fully functional, use Linux as your server, have a MacBook Pro, and a Windows 7 desktop. That’s like owning a bicycle, a 4×4 for mud, and a Chevy Volt electric car. Just using Linux? That’s like trying to build your own bicycle out of wood, and when you have trouble with the wheels, and asking for help, seeing other people riding their wooden bicycles and their reply is just “just build your own wheels, I did, look at me, but I’m not going to tell you how to do it… you figure it out!”.

Linux is NOT or the consumer.

Just bare in mind that by the time Windows 8 is released, most versions of Linux will have evolved by at least 2 upgrades. Most versions of Linux, really, have newer software because of this shorter release cycle. Why are they able to upgrade in just six months? Because it’s open for people to see. And even if a bug is found, or a security flaw, it can be fixed in as little as the next 24 hours, minimising the amount of time that flaw has to work. Since it’s open also, people can look at it as early on as Alpha and say, right, I don’t think this works, or, right, this is stupid, here’s a better way. Peer review is so much better because there are so many eyes looking at the construction of the system and helping out, creating a massive community of people who can see everything the system is, was, and will be in the future, allowing for an Operating System that is secure, more portable to smaller and bigger devices, provides a better user experience, a solid foundation on which to build, rapid development of just about everything, lower system requirements, the removal of nag screens and time limits, an uninterruptable user experience and a platform that will never need to be completely rewritten. What has Windows got to show for itself? Slow development, susceptibility to malware, nag screens, an ever increasing need to upgrade hardware and software, copying the competition, no encryption on your home folder, which has already been implemented in Linux for YOUR privacy, and something that can’t scale down to a Netbook if the screenshots are anything to go by. Linux was built with security and portability from the outset, providing it with a solid platform on which to base the user experience. Windows still suffers from security flaws. Linux is suitable for everything. Oh, you tell me you wanna play games? Get a PS3. Seriously, why would you play games on your PC? They crash, or they’re too old, or your chipset isn’t compatible, or you need to spend money on neew hardware – which can also be said for Windows. I agree with the notion that this Windows release cycle could be the last.

Mac OS X IS UNIX!! It’s based off of BSD! Just thought I’d clear that up.

Linux is dead on the desktop, one of the sole reasons being that you can’t get it without the internet and all software is located on the internet instead of disks.

The cloud is a pathetic gimmick that will only work when you’re at home with wifi? No connection? Oh, your laptop is worth nothing now.
