    dear friend this is very simplest question. here there is no such option that close. we have to open task manager and give end process. because since it is developer preview.

    you can shut down
    windows 8  (and the pc) from the start button … it is a 2 steps process which is very annoying and time consuming

    Spell check for what? Most modern browsers have built in dictionaries or have plugins/extensions for them.

    So far I must say it sucks. Why microsoft?? why did you dumb it down and make it more like a phone os. Windows 7 was great… as the saying goes, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, just improve upon it. The metro apps thing is horrible. I want programs not apps I want a real os not a phone os.
